Note - Even though she will amend her tax return, you will have to print and mail your tax return if you are keeping her as a dependent on your return. The IRS has received a tax return with her Social Security number and will reject any other e-filed tax returns with that same SS number. The IRS will pay you any tax refund based on her being your dependent.
