Amended returns can only be e-filed using TurboTax for the current tax year, which is currently 2025 (and those are not yet available for e-filing of amendments). Prior year amended returns can be prepared in TurboTax but will need to be mailed. The first page in your printout of a return to be mailed is your instructions. This page gives you the address to send your return to, and any forms you need to include with your return.
You’ll need to pay any tax balance due by check when you file by mail, or pay online at the IRS or state website.
