If you have already submitted your return, you'll need to wait until the IRS accepts your return before you can change anything on an amended return. Once the IRS accepts your return, however, you have to wait until it has been fully processed and you have received your refund. At that point, you can prepare an amended tax return and e-file or mail it in. Make no changes in your TurboTax account until you receive your refund (if any).
Noncash contributions are entered under Deductions & Credits >>Donations to Charity. TurboTax will ask you what type of donation you made.
