To update this, you have to bypass the standard login screen. Check if you have a backup verification method enabled.
- On the screen asking for the code, select the small blue link that says Try something else.
- If you see an option for Email, select it. You can receive the code via your verified email address.
- Once logged in, go immediately to Intuit Account > Sign in & Security and update your Phone section with the new number.
If that doesn't work you will have to do a manual review by the Intuit security team to verify your identity.
Go to this link, Intuit Account Recovery Request. You will need a high-quality photo of your Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport. You will select that you are updating your Phone Number.
