You cannot do that unless you want it to be a mess. Your joint return from 2017 will have all kinds of data for both of you that does not belong on a separate return. You need to prepare your two separate returns in two new accounts and start from scratch. You don’t say why you want to file MFS, which is usually the worst way to file.
