Get your taxes done using TurboTax

@tobyh9362 What you are being asked for is your 2023 AGI from line 11 of your 2023 tax return.  But if the return was rejected, that amount is not in the IRS system, and will not help you e-file 2024.   If you are trying to e-file 2024, you can choose the answer that says you did not file a 2023 return or you can try using zero as your 2023 AGI.   If neither of those tactics allow you to e-file 2024, then print, sign and date 2024 in ink, and mail it in.

Meanwhile.....you can still file your 2023 return---but it can only be filed by mail.   E-filing is permanently closed for 2023 returns.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.

Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses.  Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.
