Get your taxes done using TurboTax
Actually, correction, I did just get it to ask me if I want to file as a "part-year resident" or a "part-year nonresident", saying:
Filing as "part-year resident" means you will be taxed on all your income. You get a credit for taxes you paid to other states on the same income.
Filing as "part-year nonresident" means you will be taxed only on income you earned in Missouri.
It sounds like part-year nonresident is how I thought i would be taxed, but since I am going from being a non-resident to a resident, doesn't that mean I am a part-year resident? Or am I interpreting that wrong?
