To report this as income without reporting it as self-employment, you will need to delete the 1099-NEC you entered by clicking the trash can on the summary screen next to the 1099-NEC and then you can enter the income by selecting the following:
- Federal
- Income
- Show more next to Less Common Income
- Start next to Miscellaneous Income
- Start next to Other income not already reported on a Form W-2 or Form 109
- Answer Yes to Other Wages Received
- Yes to Any Other Earned Income
- Select other
- Enter Elections Inspector and the amount you received.
