Get your taxes done using TurboTax
There's a question in the Ohio interview that asks if you 'filed an Ohio return last year'. Check your entry there.
If you earned income in Ohio in 2024, and paid tax, you're correct that you would file a non-resident return. Here's more info on How to File a Non-Resident State Return.
If you're using TurboTax Online, close the program, clear your Cache and Cookies and return to the Ohio interview.
If you don't owe Ohio tax for 2024, you can delete form IT/SD2210 from your Ohio return. How to Delete Forms in TurboTax Online.
Or, just delete Ohio and start the interview again from the beginning. Here's How to Delete a State in TurboTax Online.
