TurboTax doesn't know what forms have been filed with the IRS for an individual. TurboTax does bring forward information/forms from the prior year, thinking it will save you time if you need to use it.
You can do the following to delete that Form 1099:
- Click on "Search" on the top right of your TurboTax screen
- Type "1099" in the search box
- Select the link "jump to 1099"
- You will see a summary page for 1099's
- Click on Delete or the trash can icon to remove the form
