You can copy the TurboTax installation file to a Read/Write CD or you can copy the installation file to a USB drive. All the download installation files are executable.
I have installation files from 2007 through 2024 plus all tax data files and PDF's on a USB drive.
You can download the TurboTax installation files at any time for up to three years from the date of purchase at no charge.
TurboTax only supports the current tax year and the three prior tax years. So the license code for older tax returns is no longer supported. For example the current tax year 2024 and tax years 2023, 2022 and 2021 are supported. But tax year 2020 and earlier is no longer supported.
