There is no such thing as a desktop Deluxe 20 return package. When you purchase the desktop download you are permitted to use it on up to five computers that YOU own, and you are permitted to e-file a total--among all of those computers -- of up to five federal returns. Any more than five federal returns ---the others must be filed by mail.
The desktop software for 2024 has been available for several weeks. The online software will become available in early to mid-December. With online software, you get one return per fee.
If you have the credentials to work as a paid tax preparer who needs to prepare twenty or more returns then you should check in to the professional tax software like Lacerte or ProSeries.
