Paying your fee did not file your tax return. Did you go all the way through the FILE section last year -- in 2023 ---to e-file your 2022 return? Does your account say the return was accepted? If it says anything other than "accepted"----like rejected, ready to mail or printed, then you did not file it. If you did not file it, then you will have to file it by mail now. E-filing is closed for 2022 returns.
