@nocilor You never enter a dependent's income on your own tax return. That means you do not include a dependent teenager's W-2 on your own tax return nor do you include your elderly parent's income on your own return. If your mother had enough taxable income to file a return, then she could file her own return and say that she can be claimed as someone else's dependent. You say she only had $2100 of income. That is such a small amount of income that she would not owe any tax on it, so she does not need to file. Her income does not go on your tax return.
