There are two possible scenarios.
1. You printed your MD state return prior to going through the filing interview section and electing to mail your state return. If this is the case, when you sign in to your account, you will see the option to finish and file. Try going through the filing steps and when asked, be sure to select that you are filing by mail. During that interview you will have the opportunity to print your return for mailing.
2. You actually completed the filing interview and e-filed your returns prior to printing. If this is the case, when you sign in to your account you will see pending or accepted or rejected. Typically in this case you will not be mailing your return since you have already e-filed.
- If pending, you must wait for acceptance or rejection.
- If your return is rejected for some reason you will be able to make any updates/corrections and then go through the filing steps and this time elect to file by mail.
- Once your e-filed return has been accepted you must wait for it to process.
