Get your taxes done using TurboTax
@SteamTrain Thanks. I just tried a bunch of resolution changes and the results stayed the same, with the same columns being shown and the edit and delete buttons not visible. Not sure why the windows don't re-layout on window-size-change events. Looks like we'll have to tough this one out and home TurboTax fixes this at some point. Side note: while I was trying various resolution changes I ran into a number of TurboTax hangups after trying to go to Federal Taxes...Wages & Income...I'll Choose What I Work On. It check displayed the Calculating... popup and never returned. Happened multiple times.
Also, ran into another interesting problem that looks like a bug when two returns are being edited. As part of the size change experiment I opened my existing return, sized the window to be larger, and then opened a second new return. I entered a 1099-B sale in the new return to see if the layout width was any different. It was the same size as the other. The weird thing that happened was when I went back to my existing return and pressed the Update button to enter the 'Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other' section and then TurboTax popped up an error overlay stating 'Hmmm, looks like we've hit a snag. We recommend you revisit the last topic you were working on to make sure all your info's correct'. That error overlay has one button labelled 'Sounds good'. TurboTax would never let me back into that section, giving the same error over and over. If I closed my current return, without quitting TurboTax, and opened it again the same 'Hmmm' error overlay was shown. If I quit TurboTax and then reopen my current return I don't get the error. However, the brokerage entry that I made in the other new return, that I closed and deleted, is showing up in my real return. Seems like there's a concurrency issue when two returns are being edited.
