Get your taxes done using TurboTax

Correct...yes it's an old issue with TTX software...I don't think they'll correct now, but some year they might.  (I don't actually know if it is an actual TTX issue, or something the IRS requires)

IF you e-file one tax return and it gets rejected for a wrong SSN....that ends up as counting as one e-file...when you correct it, it then goes in as a separate new count on the e-file limit.

But a rejected e-file for other non-SSN reasons, when corrected and re-e-filed still counts as the one same e-file count number...not a new count-up.

______

Thus, any more would need to be printed and paper-mail filed.  Signed-dated...W-2s and any other documents with tax withholding,  attached.

Thus, if you are ever going to be anywhere near the 5-file max, make sure you e-file the most complex tax return first...usually your own...the parents.  Then work on the kids later, even though they may be simpler.
