You are posting your question from online Deluxe----which is not free. Only very simple returns can be prepared using the Free Edition. And...with online TurboTax there is never a fee to e-file. If you use a paid version, the fee is for using the software to prepare the return. With paid versions, you pay separate fees for federal and state. Preparing a NY return using Deluxe will not be free.
