That is correct. There are no second extensions. The filing deadline for people with 2022 extensions was October 16, 2023 except for certain residents of CA who have a November deadline. So.....the return will just be late when you file it. You have three years from your extension deadline to file a return and receive a refund. If you do not owe or are getting a refund, there is no penalty for missing the deadline.
