Get your taxes done using TurboTax

California allows a deduction for union dues. 

1. Click on the Federal Taxes tab.
2. Go to Deductions & Credits.
3. Click I'll Choose What to Work on.
4. Scroll down to Job-Related Expensesunder Employment Expenses.
5. Click Start.
6. Answer yes for the question Do you have any employment expenses for W-2 work?
7. Follow the on-screen instructions.
8. Enter Union Dues on the page Any Other Expenses?
