Get your taxes done using TurboTax
When using TurboTax you can either file your tax return electronically (e-file) or print and mail the tax return.
The most common reason for not being able to e-file a tax return is that there is no taxable income being reported on the return.
If you have no taxable income or your only income is from Social Security there is no reason to file a tax return unless you have health care coverage through one of the state Marketplace Exchanges or from healthcare.gov and you received a Form 1095-A for reporting the coverage, then you would need to file a federal tax return.
We do not have access to your online account so do not know why you could not file your tax return until you tell us what TurboTax indicated to you for the reason.
Sign back onto your online account and complete the return for filing.
To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/
You complete your tax return by finishing all 3 Steps in the File section. In Step 3, to e-file your tax return, you must click on the large button labeled "Transmit my returns now".
