If you worked anytime in 2022 you need a W2. Ask your employer for another copy. If you didn't have any income you don't need to file a return. What income did you have? Maybe someone can claim you as a dependent? You can't efile without any taxable income.
Oh, is it wanting you to fill in a W2? It's possible the W2 was carried over from last years return. Regardless, if you do not have a W2 just delete it.
It's easy to remove a W-2.
- Open or continue your return.
- Search for W-2 using the search in the upper right corner and then click the Jump to link in the search results.
- This brings you to the Here's your W-2 info screen. Click the trash can icon next to the unwanted W-2 and then answer Yes on the following screen.
