Ok ... the IRS doesn't start processing returns with balance dues on them until after the 4/18 filing deadline (no matter when they were filed) so if you are waiting on the IRS bill to come in the mail or for the online account to populate to confirm your balance due that may not happen for a few weeks at this time. You can be proactive and put in for a payment plan now or wait for them to send you the form 9465 in the mail.
