Get your taxes done using TurboTax

After you file your return with TurboTax, you get an e-mail saying it was submitted to the IRS. Then you get a second one (the one I’m assuming you were waiting for when you posted?) which is actually the IRS communicating (through our system) that it was accepted or rejected. Unfortunately, we have no ability to tell them to speed things up (although sometimes we wish we did!)

Hopefully you wrapped up your taxes last night and have moved on to other things. But if not, as long as your return was officially submitted by the midnight deadline, you have a five-day grace period (the “perfection period”) to fix a rejection and get it accepted. (So no need to stress!)

@user521541265, if you didn’t get either e-mail, checking your spam folder is a good idea. Be sure to re-post here if your tax situation to linger and you have any questions!
