Other:.....for the CD version updating
1) if on Windows, make sure you have fully installed any waiting Windows updates....partially-installed Windows updates are known to block TTX updates. Then reboot...even if you had no updates to install.
IF that doesn't work, and if on Windows:
2) Download and install the Manual update. that can take longer than you think to install...start it up, make sure it's started, then go make & eat a meal, or take a shower..etc...
