Yes. The IRS considers any self-employment income you earn to be a “business” simply because you were not someone’s employee.
Here’s how to set up Schedule C:
- Type sch c in Search (magnifying glass) in the top right
- Select Jump to sch c
- Fill out your business information, enter your income and expenses. You can deduct the cost of the items sold along with any fees, commission, and other expenses, plus mileage and any other ordinary and necessary business expenses.
