A W2 may have transferred over when you started your 2022 return. You can go to the Income section and remove any W2's that are listed.
How do I change my W-2 info in TurboTax?
You can change or delete your W-2 info if you haven't filed your taxes yet
In TurboTax Online or CD/Download:
- Open or continue your return
- From the menu, select Search and type-in W-2
- Select the Jump to link in the search results
- On the Your W-2 info so far screen, select Edit next to the W-2 you want to change
- Select the trash can Delete icon to delete the W-2
In the TurboTax mobile app:
- Open or continue your return
- Select Wages & Income
- Select Review/Edit
- Select Job (W-2)
- Select Review to edit the W-2
- Select the three-dot icon and select Delete
If you already e-filed, wait until your return is either accepted or rejected.
- If rejected, you can edit the W-2 as instructed in this article before resubmitting or paper-filing your return
- If accepted (or if you already paper-filed), you'll probably need to amend your return if the edits you're making will cause your taxes to change
