Get your taxes done using TurboTax

Yes.  As DoninGA states, it appears you may be entering that form in the wrong topic.  Do enter as a form 1099-G but enter it as a "State Refund" in the "Other Common Income" topic.

Before entering the "State refund" you need to delete the 1099-G that you started in the 1099G topic.  Here are the steps to delete a form in online versions.  In desktop versions you can use the forms mode to delete forms.

1. Select "Tax Tools" in the left hand menu
2. Select "Tools"
3. Select "Delete a Form"
4. Find the 1099-G
6. "Confirm Deletion"

Then get back to the "Other Common Income" dropdown and use the "State Refund..." topic to enter that form info.

Keep in mind if you used the standard deduction last year the refund will not be taxable.  If you itemized TurboTax will ask a few question about last year's return to determine what, if any, of your refund may be taxable.
