If you have not received your W-2 and can not obtain a copy from your employer, there are a few options you can do:
- Create an ID.me account with the IRS and retrieve an online wage and income transcript. The transcript will list all income reported to the IRS under your SSN. Here is the link to create your online IRS account: Get my Transcript
- Follow these steps Lena provided above and contact the IRS with the last pay stub you received to report your W-2 Earnings.
- Grab your last 2021 pay stub and call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040
- The IRS will ask you for some info before following up with your employer
- After notifying the IRS, you can either continue waiting for your W-2 or paper-file your return using Form 4852 and your last pay stub
