What remaining balance are you referring to? Please explain. If you had federal tax due for 2022, and you paid that tax, you are not getting a federal refund for 2022. It cannot be both. Or do you mean you owed federal and you are getting a state refund? State refunds are issued by your state and it will come when the state sends it.
