Can you tell me what state and school district you are in? During my research, I see this is happening all over the country.
You said you were paid a flat monthly fee, but what information did you have to submit for this? Did you have to submit your miles driven to and from school or anything specific?
Also, what box was the amount reported in on your 1099-misc? Did you have to fill out a W-9 for the school district?
