Get your taxes done using TurboTax
It depends on whether you meet the substantial presence test to be treated as a U.S. resident.
Persons who file a nonresident income tax return generally cannot claim dependents.
Contact TurboTax partner Sprintax.com to discuss your situation. TurboTax does not support nonresident tax returns. You can file those through Sprintax.
If you qualify to file as a U.S. resident, you can use TurboTax and claim a dependent. However, you’ll need to get an ITIN or SSN either before or with the filing of your tax return.
