Based on the answer in https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/taxes/discussion/re-i-have-used-quick-employer-forms-to-generate-a... the IRS automatically forwards specific forms to the states (if your state participates in the CF/SF program), regardless of what program you used to electronically submit the forms. The answer in that thread lists the forms that are submitted by the IRS to the states, which includes 1099-NEC. It would be good if TurboTax would explain that clearly in the FAQ of the Quick Employer Forms.
