If you are trying to claim a GF or BF as a dependent, they are entered as a "qualifying relative" even if they are not really related to you. You enter them in My Info. Just answer the questions asked on the screens after you put in their name and Social Security number. You will get the $500 credit for other dependents.
But....they must meet the criteria to be claimed. Did they live with you for the ENTIRE year in 2022, and have less than $4400 of income (not counting Social Security)?
