Get your taxes done using TurboTax
1. If you are not legally married you cannot file a joint tax return. Owning a house is not the same as being married.
2. ALL of your income has to be entered on your tax return including the rent you receive for the house in TX.
3. Again...ALL of your income goes on your tax return, so when PayPal sends you a document for the sales online of dolls, etc. you enter the information from that document.
4. ALL of your income will also include entering the 1099R that you will receive for the retirement income. You will get a 1099R in late January/early February.
To enter your retirement income, Go to Federal> Wages and Income>Retirement Plans and Social Security>IRA 401 k) Pension Plan Withdrawals to enter your 1099R.
Texas has no state income tax but if you live in Georgia for part of the year you will need to complete a part-year return for GA. The information flows from your federal return to the state return, and the software will follow the rules and laws for GA.
