Get your taxes done using TurboTax
Having two W-2s from the same employer (due to a payroll provider switch, employee status change, restructuring of the business, etc.) is not unusual, and is treated the same way that W-2s from two different jobs would be. (Of course, as always you’ll want to be certain the W-2s have been done correctly, and follow up if the total amount of income, or anything else, doesn’t seem right.)
You could add the two W-2s yourself, making sure to round each first if applicable (since the total is what you’re ultimately reporting on your 1040). But just entering them as separate W-2s into the TurboTax program (and letting it do the math and whatever rounding is needed) is probably the best way to do that (and more like our “Come to TurboTax and don’t do your taxes” approach!).
