Are you claiming children as dependent on your tax return? If so the Child Tax Credit has reverted back to the original amount of $2,000 for each child under the age of 17. Whereas in tax year 2021 it was $3,600 for a child under the age of 6 and $3,000 for a child age 6 thru age 17.
