If your spouse is legally blind you have an extra amount added to your standard deduction. That means you are taxed on less income. So make sure you indicate that she is legally blind. There are no other credits or deductions for dementia. Sorry.. You have not mentioned if she is receiving care at home or in a care facility.....if so please provide some details so we can be more helpful. There may be medical expenses you can enter.
