No. Where did you get the 2022 return file? Are you using the 2022 Desktop program? You can only open a return (like the .tax2022 file) in the same year program. If you have a .tax2022 just use the 2022 program to test. You can have more than 1 return in the Desktop program. I have many different returns to test in and to look up stuff for questions. Just save each return with a different name.
