I agree ... even though the TT program will not stop you from amending a return with a new SS# issued after you filed the original return the IRS will not allow it. You should have put yourself on extension and only filed once the SS# was issued.
And FYI ... the return was accepted if the first 4 letters of the last name, the SS# and the YEAR of birth is correct. If you entered the wrong date of birth is immaterial.
