The balance due was supposed to be paid last April when you filed the extension so if you are filing the return now make the payment ASAP as the penalties and interest are piling up daily. Acceptance of the return is irrelevant. Pay online at www.IRS.gov/pay or set up a direct debit in the FILE tab when you efile.
