The return had a balance due on it and paying it will not change that fact. The return in the TT system will always say you had a blance due since they don't get word from the IRS it was paid and there is no way to change that fact. If you went to a local paid tax pro and you left the office with a paper copy of the return in your hand that showed a balance due then it will always show a balance due ... the same is with the TT system.
