Lender's name on 1098-e form

I added the lender's name but I keep getting and error message stating up to 24 characters allowed.

Yes, it is a known issue they are working on fixing.  However, it is perfectly acceptable to shorten the lender name as long as you report the correct amount of interest paid.  Example - you can shorten to "U.S. Department of Ed." if that is your lender.  It won't cause any issues processing your return and should allow you to continue.
