If you are interested in finding out how to mark that you can be claimed as a dependent on someone else'e return, this is found in the My Info section of TurboTax
- Login to your TurboTax online account
- Click Take me to my return or pick up where I left off
- Click My Info (found on the left hand side)
- Click edit to the right of your name
- This will take you to the Your personal info screen; Scroll down to part 3 and click Yes to the statement- Someone else can claim me as a dependent on their tax return.
If you are filing your own return and you are not a dependent of someone else, you already claim an exemption for yourself when filing, so you do not have to put yourself as a dependent.
