1098-T Tuition Statement for 2019

My 19 yr old daughter is attending college while living at home. She got the 1098-T. We are claiming her as a dependent since we provide more than half of her support while she's a student. We can use that on our taxes since we are claiming her. She had some income for the year while attending school. Can she use the 1098-T on her tax return since we used it on ours for her? I wouldn't think so. I'm just making sure because I couldn't find any information on that.

since she is your dependent only you are eligible for tax benefits ; the 1098T only goes on your return - not her's.

(in fact, since she'll click the box saying she is a dependent of someone else on HER return, I would expect there to be no impact if you tried to key in the 1098T on her return).

exception: if Box 5 exceeds Box 1, then the 1098T does go on her return and not yours.
