Schedule K-1

In Forms Mode, bring up the k-1 worksheet. Scroll down to line 20 "other information."  You should see "Z" in red.  Put the pointer on it and a small box will appear. Click on it and a drop down menu appears.  At the top of the menu is "No Entry".  Click on it and the "Z" will be deleted.

To get back to the K-1 summary screen and find the Schedule K-1 to edit, click the magnifying glass Search icon on the top right, enter "k-1" in the search window and press return or enter, and then click on the Jump to link to find the K-1 you need to edit.

I thought this might be the solution, but there is no choice for "No Entry" for box 20 of the 2020 Schedule K-1, as I again realized when going to the box/drop down menu when pointing the red "Z" in Forms mode.  The first choice in that menu is "U" - "Reserved" which also results in an error message to be corrected if used.  After multiple attempts alternating between modes, I just decided to delete the original K-1 form information and re-enter a new one, which fixed the problem, but had hoped not to have to go through that. 

Deleting the form and reentering always works!  Here is a less drastic solution for the future.

1. Click the down arrow on the field you want to clear.
2. The selection list will pop up.
3. Right above the first entry in the list, there is a blank space.  [See screenshot below.]
4. Click on the blank space and it will remove what you had previously entered.  In essence you are choosing the blank.

To remove the checkmark in box 20, you have to finish going through the interview for the K-1.

1. When you come to the screen, Enter Box 20 Info, make sure all the boxes are blank.
2. If you had information in the Code Column, replace it with a blank line from the drop-down list.  [See Screenshot#1, below.]
3. On the screen, Does your K-1 have a code Z in Box 20, click the No box.   [Screenshot #2]
4. Box 20 will no longer be checked.
