Remove Schedule C from last year

My wife was a consultant for the previous 5 years and we filed a Schedule C along with her 1099-MISC.  2015 was the last year she received any funds or participated in her own business.  I am using TurboTax Deluxe this year to file and it imported data from last year's filing.  I completed the wizard and during the Federal Tax finalization, it asked me about 5 questions on my Schedule C which I never entered.  After answering the questions, my return lowered by about $300.  I looked up how to delete the Schedule C, but I'm unable to find any information on it.  I found a reference in your FAQ to close the Schedule C by going to Business Income, however, since I only purchased TurboTax Deluxe, I don't have a Business Income section.  Can you help me resolve this question/issue?

I don't know for sure but I would suggest trying to go through the "Federal Taxes" tab, "Wages and Income" section, "I'll choose what I work on".  As you scroll down you will see 2015 and 2016 amounts.  When you get to the 1099-MISC click the Update button.  Select the Delete button and get rid of that.  Also go down to the Sch C and click the Update button there.  Select the Detele button on that too.  Good luck.

I found a 1099-MISC from last year and deleted it.  My return amount didn't change... remember I said it decreased after answering the Schedule C questions.  I then completed Federal and moved to State.  During the state walk through, it asked me about the 1099-MISC and Schedule C after I deleted the 1099-MISC in Federal.  The state gave me an option to mark not to use the Schedule C and mark the business as closed in 2015.  Federal doesn't seem to have this option.

I followed the instructions on this link (<a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/2726512">https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/2726512</a>) and I don't see a Schedule C under Federal.  Only one under state that I marked as closed.  I think I might be good.

When you print preview you will be able to tell if a Schedule C was created for Federal.  If it hasn't then I agree, you're good.
