How do I edit my Schedule C?

While filling out my Schedule C form for rideshare work, I realized I made an error in one of the mileage fields. However, there is no "Back" button available while filling out the Schedule C. I tried leaving the program and re-entering, but it picked up the form from where I left off, so I just finished it. Now I'm trying to edit it and there is no obvious place to access it.

If I search within the application, there is a button that says "Go to Schedule C", but clicking it just takes me back to the self-employed work summary, and drilling into my rideshare-related info does not give me any options to edit the form I'm looking for.

As a last resort, I tried clearing my return and starting over, but even that won't work because I have already paid for filing.

After talking with support, I confirmed that there was no other way to edit the Schedule C. Recommended solution was to delete the relevant self-employment work and then add it back, which ended up working.

Who said you have to delete the Schedule C?  Just go back to the self-employed section of the program and change anything in the self-employed income or expense section.

Ok, where exactly? I cannot find the section where I entered the square footage of my home and the specific square footage of my office anywhere. Clicking jump to does not direct you to this specific entry.

Follow these steps to add or edit your home office info:

  1. Open or continue your return
  2. In the search box, type home office deduction and select the Jump to link at the top of the search results
  3. Click on Start/Edit next to Home office
  4. Follow the instructions on the screens to get to the screen where you can enter the sqft.
