form 1065 schedule K-2

filing form 1065 and schedule K2 (for foreign tax credit). I entered part II section 1 #7,8 for dividends), chose category as countries (blank) and category (RIC). I needed to override #24 total gross income so I could choose RIC and TT would total #7,8.  In part III Section 4 (foreign taxes) I entered info in #1 Direct(section 901 or 903) foreigan taxes) as paid, category RIC and $$ for the rest of #1.  When I finished with K2 TT said that I had 7 errors!   In part II all # under section1 (gross income)  TT wanted me to fill out country. No $$ for all the rest. If I choose <blank> for country, TT doesn' t like it. TT then won't let me choose category (RIC) and says I have more errors.  Talked to TT customer support. First support person hung up on me, second person was very nice, but he didn't know how to fix problems of errors. Only solution was to print the 1065, K1, K2, K3 etc and MAIL in the forms. I got TT so I could do forms easier and send in electronically. So far, haven't tried to send electronically even though TT says have errors. Any feed back is greatly appreciated.

The RIC has to exist somewhere and that is the country TurboTax is expecting to be entered.  Also, you have to ensure you have marked yes or no (as appropriate) for all the lines in Section C on Form 1065 Schedule K-2.  This should remove the errors and you should be able to e-file, but if you have already mailed in your returns do not also e-file.
