From within your federal return, type "Schedule D" in the search field at the righthand top of the screen. Select "Jump To Schedule D" and you will be brought to this section of TurboTax
i can get to schedule D but TT will not let me fill it in.
Forms are fillable if you are using TurboTax Desktop/CD. If you are using TurboTax Online, you cannot enter any information into the forms. You will have to enter the information that you want to show up on Schedule D in the Investment Income section of TurboTax Online.
You will need to enter this in the investment section of TurboTax.
When you sell stocks, bonds, mutual funds, or other securities, you should get Form 1099-B from your brokerage by mid-February. Simply enter the form into TurboTax to report the sale.
